The word “cent” often gets mispronounced by English learners. Why? Because it usually exists also in their mother tongue, but pronounced as “tsent”. In English, however, “cent” is pronounced exactly the same as the words “sent” and “scent”, i.e. there is no “ts” at the beginning.
